Aesop's Travelling Theatre
Company
Specialist in Theatre
in Education, ATTC perform in schools, art centres and
theatres nationally throughout the year with plays and workshops
specifically written and designed for Nursery, Infant and Junior
age groups.
Their production 'Not Such an Ugly Duckling' is suitable for ages 2
to 7 years, and adapts the story
using puppetry, humour, music and songs to gently conveys
the message that bullying is hurtful and wrong.

Act On Info Theatre
Company
Act On Info have been
delivering issue-based drama workshops since 1999. Their
Anti-Bullying Workshops, which began in partnership with Greater
Manchester Healthy Schools Team, are fully interactive using hot
seating and forum theatre techniques to allow the pupils to explore
the issues of bullying and the roles of 'bully', 'victim' and
'bystander'. Act On Info are experienced in working with
an existing anti-bullying policy or helping to revise or
devise a new policy. Workshops are available for KS2 and KS3. Act
On Info also offer a 'Play in a Day' workshop on the theme of
bullying and peer pressure for KS2. The class work with an
actor for a full day, performing the play at the end of the day.

Actionwork - ABA
member
Actionwork produces touring
shows and workshops, produces films with young people, and provides
seminars for Anti-Bullying Conferences, training for School
Governors, INSET for teachers, support for GCSE students, and
creative research for government initiatives.
Actionwork specialises in empowerment and peace programmes
with young people, including dealing with issues such as bullying,

The Anti-Bullying
Magician
Uses magic routines, comedy
and audience participation to get across the anti-bullying
message. The show is designed for Key Stage 1 & 2 children and
uses the 'BAND' acronym, which allows the children to easily
remember the key points.The BAND acronym stands for:
B - Bullying is
not okay - What is bullying and exploring the types of
bullying.
A - Ask for help - Exploring how to
ask for help.
N - Nobody deserves to be bullied -
Why children bully.
D - do your part - Looking at what
the whole school can do to stop bullying from happening.

Bigfoot Theatre Company- ABA member
Promoting Positive Relationships programmes - Bigfoot’s
Stepping Up and The Bigger Picture programmes are
designed to stimulate KS1 and KS2 students into becoming more aware
of their own behaviour patterns through focusing on scenarios and
situations relevant to young people in primary schools today.
Students will be encouraged to explore what bullying is; how it
feels; why people bully; how we can prevent and respond to it; and
how they can use their social, emotional and behavioural skills to
tackle this fundamental problem as a whole community, making their
school a safe, happy and inclusive environment in which to
learn.

Box
Clever
Box Clever's production The
Hate Play will be available again from September 2010. The play
covers bullying and victimisation and how individuals and groups
can make a stand against bullying and hate crime. The Hate
Play was used as the starting point for a pioneering
anti-bullying project which ran in ten secondary schools in Sutton
in autumn 2008. The project culminated in the launch of
a website which
showcases the students' work and provides suggestions for
teachers wanting to harness creativity to
address bullying.
Box Clever also
offer a workshop called the PSHE
Workbox, which uses drama and interactive exercises to explore
one of three areas - sex education, bullying or drugs.

Caught In The
Act
Established in 1989, this
TIE company works within the national
curriculum, in schools and in PRUs, youth
clubs, colleges, youth offending teams and prisons. Three
anti-bullying projects (for Key Stages 1, 2 and 3)
aim to support young people by promoting a positive sense
of self and building the confidence to cope with change. Workshops
combine performance, facilitated discussion and drama games. There
is a strong emphasis on making activities inclusive and
co-operative in order to reinforce a sense of mutual support within

Futures Theatre
Company
Established since 1992,
Futures Theatre company are based in London and deliver touring
theatre productions and educational workshop programmes to explore
social justice issues. The company tour twice a year and will be
touring in autumn 2010 with Fear to Bully an interactive
production exploring the transition from primary to secondary
school with reference to cyber and text message bullying and
Sweet Love touring in Spring 2011 raising awareness of

Loudmouth Education &
Training
Loudmouth create and
run theatre in education programmes for young people on
personal, social and health education and accessible training for
adults to aid personal and professional development.
Current programmes include 'Helping Hands: Helping Children to
Create Positive Relationships' - which addresses positive
relationships, bullying and domestic abuse, and is aimed
at years 4, 5 and 6. Loudmouth also provide a domestic abuse
awareness programme for local communities.

PlayRight Theatre
Company
Playright is a Theatre in Education Company based in East
Anglia. Their Anti-Bullying Show is annually redesigned to
co-ordinate with the theme of Anti-Bullying Week. Currently
performing ‘Cyber Attacks’ – where, through interactive workshop
sections, Key Stage 2 students help the Anti-Bullying Spy
complete a series of missions to help/stop a variety of weird and
whacky characters. They not only have to solve cases of Cyber
Bullying, but also raise the self esteem of some of the characters
in the show.

Spaniel in the Works Theatre
Company
This company uses
performance to help train professionals working with children
and young people, as well as putting on productions at conferences
and in museums and galleries.
A recent production on bullying, called From The Edge, was
commissioned by Bromley LCSB, and examines a range of issues,
including racist and homophobic bullying. The production is

Spotlights Theatre School - ABA member
This company offers a range of educational workshops for
schools and specialise in drama role-play based anti-bullying
workshops. The material is linked to the school curriculum
Foundation, KS1 and KS2. They provide the class teacher with
an activity pack containing ideas and lesson plans for further PSHE
work that the children can complete after they have participated in
the workshop.

Take Away Theatre
This company has been running an Anti Bullying production
"Hope"
since 2007. In this time it has reached an audience of over 200,000
young people. It is next available to book during June 2010. ‘Hope’
uses drama and music to tell the story of three young people who
are affected by bullying. It is aimed at Key Stage 2 and 3 and can
be delivered in Primary or Secondary Schools. The
play is informative, thought-provoking and entertaining and
can be followed by up to 2 participatory workshops (of up to

Tangere Arts
Based in rural Derbyshire, Tangere Arts tour throughout the East
Midlands with theatre and drama projects aimed at young
people, particularly in areas of social deprivation and rural
isolation.
Every year the company delivers a programme called "Moving on Up"
which supports schools in exploring bullying, transition to
secondary school and creating a culture of zero tolerance. The
company has worked with Derbyshire County Council's ABC
anti-bullying scheme and supported schools to deliver peer
counselling support programmes.
